The French-speaking society of the Good Lives Model (GLM)
A support framework centred on human strengths and aspirations (primary goods), for practitioners engaged in positive criminology.
“The GLM proposes that all human beings seek to achieve good lives objectives — and that offending emerges when these goods cannot be met in a prosocial way.”
Pr Tony Ward — Founder of the Good Lives Model
A positive rehabilitation model
Centred on strengths, aspirations and life plans — the GLM offers a structured alternative to risk-only approaches.
An international reference
Developed by Prof. Tony Ward, the GLM is now used in over 20 countries and overseen by an international board of researchers and clinicians.
The Francophone GLM Society
The Francophone GLM Society, under the impetus of the official representatives and with the support of the international board, coordinates the development of the GLM in French-speaking countries (training, accreditation, research and tools). The francophone pioneers of the GLM Society are Dr Erwan Dieu (founding member, ARCA, France) and Serge Corneille (honorary member, ANTIGONE, Belgium).
